Essential Duties and Responsibilties

1. ENSURE QUALITY PRODUCT

1. Ability to read tickets and price book in great detail.
2. Have knowledge of veneer specs and check door & drawer front appearance and match.
3. Check unit to make sure everything is complete as specified by ticket.

 

2. OPERATE TURNOVER MACHINE SAFELY

1. Make sure all safety devices are in place and working daily.
2. Lockout machine before servicing.
3. Clean area around and under machine daily.
4. Keep work area including tools, materials, etc organized

 

3. ENSURE MACHINE IS PROPERLY MAINTAINED

1. Blow out boring machine during the course of your shift and at end of the shift.
2. Clean up daily any shavings around machine and floor.
3. Maintain machine making sure it is always in proper working condition.
4. Lockout machine before servicing or changing bits.

 

4. PERFORM DUTIES ON SCHEDULE AND EFFICENTLY

1. Arrive at work station on time.
2. Put drawers in unit.
3. Use gauge to put lock clip on drawer.
4. Bore for pulls if needed.
5. Attach fronts to drawers with nail gun.
6. Adjust drawer to case.
7. Screw drawer fronts to drawer.
8. Check drawers for correct fit and lock working correctly.
9. Properly drill pull hole through drawer using back support block.
10. Inspect case fitting for correctness before sending on.

 

5. OPERATE AS A TEAM PLAYER

1. Help other areas and personal as needed.
2. Participate in continuous improvement.
3. Work with a sense of urgency towards meeting departmental goals/hourly piece rates.
4. Do other jobs as assigned by management.
