Description
DARRAN is a growing furniture manufacturing company currently seeking a HR Manager to join our team.

This is what we're looking for:
Under the direction of the CEO, the HR Manager will lead HR functions by managing recruitment, training, performance management, employee relations, and other HR programs that are integral to the strategic plan. The HR Manager will have one report, an HR assistant.

Essential Functions:
Recruitment:
- Source qualified applicants; Recruit for required positions using creative sourcing strategies.
- Work with managers to ensure positions are filled in a timely manner. Manage applicant tracking systems and screen applicants.
- Develop a "branding" initiative at local high schools and colleges; Develop and manage on and off-site recruitment programs including job fairs.
- Develop recruitment / training programs that encourage and support hiring high-potential candidates that do not already possess traditional industry skills.
- Manage on-boarding and off boarding of employees

Performance Management/ Employee Relations
- Administer performance review program ensure effectiveness, maximize the growth potential of the employees, maintain compliance and equity within the company
- Maintain and administer employee records, benefits and compensation while ensuring compliance with all State and Federal laws.
- Facilitate resolution of employee relations issues and administer progressive discipline and performance improvement plans with program management. Advises and counsels managers and employees on a wide variety of organizational and employee performance issues. Responds to needs of managers and employees in a timely manner.
- Work with Plant Managers to ensure SOP process for all job duties and training programs for new recruits.
- Lead corporate events for employees including monthly appreciation, birthday lunches,Christmas party, Health Fair and Team Building activities.

Employee Benefits/Safety:
- Administer all employee benefits including Open Enrollment for Medical, Dental, Vision,
Supplemental Life, and Disability. Facilitates employee election to enroll in company 401k
program.
- Lead safety efforts, develop and implement new safety programs, policies and procedures maintaining safety focus and awareness at the forefront.
- Maintain and administer FMLA, OSHA and Workers Comp records and reports. Ensure employees either return to work/light duty or receive proper care for injuries incurred at work to effectively manage workers’ compensation costs.

Knowledge / Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or HR Related Field Required
- 3-5 Years of experience as an HR Generalist Role Required
- Management Experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Exceptional knowledge of Employment Laws
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Programs
- PHR or SPHR preferred
